Colegio de San Juan de Letran – Manila looks forward to the future as it enters the third year of its Quadricentennial Celebration, which will culminate in grand fashion in 2020.
From December 17 to 20, Letran will be celebrating with the theme, Conquistar Por Tu Honor Nuevas Glorias, or To Conquer New Glories In Your Honor, and will be holding a lot of activities for its students, alumni, and employees during its Colegio Week/ Quadricentennial Celebration Year Three.
As has been the tradition, the whole affair will be ushered in by a Holy Mass at the Manila Cathedral, followed by a colorful and lively parade at the Plaza Roma and around Intramuros, plus a filed demonstration.
On the opening day, the annual Run Hueknighted, a color fun run initiated years ago by student leaders, will be held in the evening and will be a fun run for a cause. Other activities on the first day will be the ‘Hug A Bear’ corner, an initiative of the Guidance and Counseling Area; an open mic gig; the come-backing mystery-theme game, Mysquery; a basketball exhibition game between Letranites and select celebrities; and the opening of the various booths inside the campus.
Highlights that will be featured in the following days are Si Domingo at ang Mga Awit ng Paglalakbay, a cultural show on the life of St. Dominic; Las Estrellas del Cielo, a performance by the Colegio’s faculty; the highly anticipated Bingo Social; the Chefs on Parade competition; Women Got Talent; the Letran Singing Ambassadors’ Christmas Concert; the Palarong Pinoy; and an Open Cinema event.
There will also be a Youth Congress, spearheaded by the Office of Student Welfare and Development, entitled, “Arriba Experience”.
To end the celebration with a bang, the Arriba Fest and a Paskong Arriba concert will be held on December 20 featuring Ben & Ben, I Belong to the Zoo, Ysanygo, My Ex-Girlfriend, and Tapik .
