Rev. Fr. Clarence Victor Marquez, O.P., SThD, recently published his paper entitled “The Power of Preaching/The Preaching of Power: A Criticism of Popular Preaching in the Philippines” in UNITAS, an international online peer-reviewed academic journal of the Department of Literature of the University of Santo Tomas.
In his paper, Fr. Marquez discussed how preaching affects both belief and society. Through a fellow Dominican clergy Fr. Erasmo “Sonny” Ramirez, O.P., Marquez also wrote on how preaching becomes crucial and central in the propagation and regulation of Christian life and discourse.
Marquez’s paper is published in the 82nd volume of UNITAS and is accessed openly through the official website of the journal unitasust.net.
