Colegio de San Juan de Letran made a big leap heading to its Quadricentennial after the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities granted Level III Status to a number of its academic programs.
From the College of Business Administration and Accountancy, the programs that were granted Level III Status are BS Entrepreneurship, BSBA Business Economics/ BSBA Economics, BSBA Human Resource Development and Management, BSBA Marketing Management/ BSBA Marketing, and BSBA Operations Management.
From the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences: AB Advertising, AB Broadcasting, AB Communication, AB Political Science, AB Psychology, and AB Philosophy.

The elevation of the said programs to Level III allows Letran full administrative deregulation (provided that reports of promotion of students and lists of graduates are available for review by CHED at all times), financial deregulation, authority to revise curricula without CHED approval, authority to graduate students from accredited courses or programs without prior approval from CHED, priority in the awards of grants/ subsidies from CHED – Higher Education Developments Fund for scholarships and faculty development, priority to apply for authority to offer new graduate programs, among others.
