Letran Volleyball Varsity Group (LVVG) Commits Scholarship Grant for Letranites Starting SY 2026–2027 LVVG Invests in Future Letranites Through Scholarship Support

The Letran Volleyball Varsity Group (LVVG) recently met with Rev. Fr. Raymund Fernando P. Jose, O.P., Rector and President, together with Rev. Fr. Bejay Namuag, O.P., Vice President for Financial Affairs, Rev. Fr. Victor Calvo, O.P., Athletics Moderator, and AP Carlo Macasero, MBA, Director of the Alumni and Public Relations Department (APRD), to formally express their strong commitment to support the Colegio through a proposed ?1-million scholarship fund.

Representing the LVVG were Ms. Marissa Mijares, Ms. Alicia Chit Mendoza, Ms. Medy Mirasol, Ms. Erica Peña, and Mr. Lito Von Possel. Led by Ms. Erica Peña, the group shared that it is the perfect time to give back to their alma mater through scholarship grants while continuously advocating for Letran’s volleyball program.

Also present during the meeting were Coach Brian Esquibel and former LAA President Mr. Angelo Mendoza.

The proposed scholarship program, expected to begin in SY 2026–2027, will be open to the children of Letran alumni — whether former athletes or non-athletes — as part of the group’s desire to continue the Letran brand of education for future generations of Letranites.

The Father Rector expressed his gratitude to the LVVG for recognizing the importance of giving back to one’s alma mater, noting that every act of generosity — regardless of amount or form — contributes significantly to the continued growth and mission of the Colegio. He likewise expressed hope that initiatives such as this would encourage more alumni groups and individuals to actively support Letran and future generations of Letranites.

As the LVVG moves forward with this meaningful initiative, the Colegio welcomes fellow alumni and partners who wish to take part in building opportunities and sustaining the Letran legacy for years to come.

Arriba, LVVG!
