Intramuros, Manila – Colegio de San Juan de Letran has officially become a partner institution of the GT Foundation, Inc. through the GT Reformation and Educational Assistance Program (GT REAP), opening greater opportunities for qualified Letranites to pursue their education while preparing for successful careers in the corporate sector.

The partnership marks the culmination of a series of coordination meetings between Letran and GT Foundation, formally welcoming the Colegio into the Foundation's growing network of partner higher education institutions for Academic Year 2026–2027. The partnership was finalized during the GT REAP Scholarship Alignment Meeting held on June 18, 2026, where the implementation of the scholarship program for partner schools was discussed.

Representing Letran during the alignment meeting were Asst. Prof. Carlo Macasero, MBA, Mr. Michael John P. Maglaque, Director of the Community Extension Department, and Ms. Rose Anne Gillo of the Treasury Department.

Through the GT REAP Scholarship Program, qualified incoming fourth-year Letran students may receive a php100,000 tuition fee subsidy for Academic Year 2026–2027. Beyond financial assistance, scholars will also gain access to internship and employment opportunities within the Metrobank and GT Capital Group of Companies, allowing them to develop industry experience while completing their degrees. The program likewise recognizes exceptional scholars through incentives for board examination topnotchers.

Letran now joins a distinguished roster of GT Foundation partner institutions committed to empowering deserving students through academic excellence and meaningful career pathways.

The new partnership also builds upon an existing relationship between Letran and GT Foundation rooted in community service.

In February 2026, delegates from Letran Manila's Religious Affairs Division, led by Rev. Fr. Patricio P. Hiwatig, O.P., Vice President for Religious Affairs, together with Mr. Michael John P. Maglaque, Director of the Community Extension Department, conducted a courtesy visit and celebrated a Thanksgiving Mass at Bethany House Sto. Niño Orphanage in Guiguinto, Bulacan.

The orphanage, administered by the Dominican Sisters of Saint Joseph under the leadership of Sr. Emily Bantigue, O.P., was among the beneficiaries endorsed by Letran's Community Extension Department to receive financial assistance through GT Foundation's "PAGTITIPON" Food Augmentation Program, a philanthropic initiative established under the legacy of the late Dr. George S.K. Ty. Representatives from GT Foundation, including Ms. Lilac C. Lazaro, RN, Operations Head, and Ms. Mari Nicole Louise M. Esteban, Senior Program Officer, also joined the outreach activity.

The official partnership through GT REAP further strengthens this shared commitment to transforming lives—not only through community outreach but also by investing in the education and future careers of deserving Filipino students.

Qualified incoming fourth-year Letran students are encouraged to apply for the GT REAP Scholarship.

Applications are open until July 31, 2026, with limited scholarship slots available. Eligible applicants must be incoming regular fourth- or fifth-year students with a minimum 85% general weighted average, good moral standing, graduating status, annual family income not exceeding ?500,000, and no existing scholarship or financial assistance.
