Behold the Letran beep card.
OCTOBER 8 - The Colegio officially launched its very own beep card today, a project in line with the upcoming Quadricentennial Celebration.
“It’s convenient for us [students],” Sofia Rosi, a 2nd year Marketing Management student, said. “I am thankful for this.”
“We thank beep card for partnering with us,” said Jhennie Villar, co-chairman of the Quadricentennial Celebration and head of the Office of Alumni and Public Affairs.
The first batch of beep identification cards were issued to the students last September 4. Employees will likewise have their IDs converted to Beep Cards.
Letran’s beep card has already gained social media attraction via a post on Twitter by @dinofernandoyt. It was picked up by leading news outlets and was greeted with positive feedback.
For alumni and other interested buyers, the Letran beep cards can be purchased at the Letran Bookstore for P500 and is a fundraising activity of the Quadricentennial Celebration.
For further convenience, beep card holders can load up at the load station/kiosk situated inside the campus.
The partnership between the Colegio and AF Payments, Inc., the firm behind the beep card, inked the deal last March 28. Representing AF Payments were Sharon Fong, Business Development Head; Raymond Dolor, Senior BD Manager; Jayvee Mediante, BD Manager; Agnes Padilla, Marketing Head; and Joseph Aldaba, Marketing Manager.
In an interview, Peter Maher, president and CEO of AF Payments, Inc., said, “The special Letran beep card is a great way to showcase school pride.”
